As a founding member of the legendary Baby Blue Soundcrew and the architect of The All-Star Concert & Mix Tape Tour Series, Kerry Lee has produced and performed with a host of world-renowned platinum selling artists spanning over 42 cities, 7 countries, and 3 continents. Baby Blue was the first MixTape DJ crew to sign a major recording deal with a major label (Universal Canada), releasing three albums (“Private Party 1 and 2“ as well as an Old School compilation titled “Urban Nostalgia”), all which earned Platinum and Gold statues respectively.
Kerry Lee also made Canadian urban history when he performed live on BET’s Planet Groove with host Rachel Stuart (Miss Jamaica Universe 1993) which served as a launching pad for his solo international endeavours residing part-time in Los Angeles, New York and Jamaica.
After stepping aside from the world of music entertainment, Kerry Lee utilized his education and firsthand experience in order to bring a unique perspective to the world of news media broadcast as a writer and journalist appearing on and or producing and writing for various shows across several networks including: Discovery Channel, SportsNet and The Score; while lending his voice to CBC Radio One, T.S.N, Bell Global Media and the Raptors Channel.
Kerry Lee has also spent a significant amount of time and resources working with charitable initiatives aimed at aiding those most poor and marginalized living at or below the poverty line. This includes him mentoring, teaching, coaching, speaking and consulting with various foundations both within the country and around the world.
His tag line, “There is no defense against love”, serves him well as the current host of G98.7 FM’s “Steps After Dark” show.
