Mel Hart

Melissa Hart is a vibrant, established dance artist from Toronto. With a Bachelor in Fine Arts Degree specializing in Dance from York University, Melissa co-founded SaMel Tanz dance collective with Samantha Schleese. Together they have choreographed, performed and produced shows for the Toronto Fringe, Next Stage and Dance Made in Canada festivals. Melissa is a member of Hip Hop Dance Crew DEUCEnDIP, and has created and performed for concerts such as WE DAY, Canada’s Walk of Fame and World Pride.  

Melissa is well-versed in Latin dance styles, performing for The Toronto Salsa Congress and The Pan Am Games, and opening for Latin artists such as Bad Bunny, Prince Royce, and Gente de Zona. Melissa takes the most pride in being an arts educator in youth outreach programs. Melissa has taught workshops across Canada, mentoring students in the art of dance and self-expression.
