There is some prep for this project, but if you are a collector of collage material currently, then you are halfway there! After every thing is prepped, the actual approach is actually straight forward. I would say that three and four-year olds could do this one particular with a small aid for the washi tape. And tweens and teens would really like generating these, as well. So essentially, good for any age!

six. Let the jars dry overnight. On the subsequent day, reduce 3 or additional pieces of string for every student, about 20″. Show them swiftly how to reduce a piece of tape and wrap it about the string. Some of the older children have been capable to reduce the tape at the ends to appear like small flags.

And that is it! I really like the whimsical and sort-of eclectic nature of these lanterns. They would be so cute hanging above a bed, or even above a baby’s crib.

I in fact had grand plans to make these into genuine operating lanterns, lightbulbs and all. But I got nervous about sending them household and not being aware of if the plastic would melt. I wouldn’t have added the string if I was going to use a genuine light bulb. But if you want to attempt it at household, this is the pendant light kit I purchased. It is worth a attempt!
