Scribe

Scribe

Scribe is our spoken word program that is open for all students from grade 6-12 and supports beginner, intermediate and advanced level writers. This program is designed for aspiring novelists, poets or essayists, in both the fiction or non-fiction genres.

Telling a story with words is fun, but being able to tell a story with a poem is a challenge! When composed and performed, spoken word is creatively imaginative, highly entertaining for an audience and can convey powerful messages.

Scribe focuses on narrative styles, plots and characters using fundamental poetry and writing elements, such as: similes, metaphors, stanza, form, rhythm, rhyme and much more.  Through this program students are able to develop and find their own voice and style.
