For nearly 100 years, planes have taken flight on this stretch of land. Now it’s your turn! We’re opening the Downsview runway for an afternoon of free play in celebration of North York’s 100th birthday. Bring your kids, bikes, dogs, balls, skateboards, rollerblades, and sense of wonder.
These lands have been off-limits for almost a century. The next 100 years will be different. Northcrest and Canada Lands, together with Bombardier and Councillor James Pasternak, are inviting the local community and people across Toronto to come play with us and to learn about the accessible, inclusive, active neighbourhoods that will be coming here in the decades ahead.
Sunday, June 26th, 2pm – 5pm.
Rain or shine.
Entry is free. Advanced registration required.
